Welcome to another Weekly Grocery Haul! This week, in addition to my regular stores, Mariano’s and Jewel-Osco, I made my way to ALDI. I had 20 minutes to kill before being someplace and it just so happened to be right next to this discount supermarket. If you’ve never visited an ALDI, it’s a sister store of Trader Joe’s, both coming from the same German parent company. It’s a very simplistic store – no frills and thrills. To get a cart, you have to have a quarter handy (don’t worry, you’ll get your $.25 back when you return the cart!), credit cards aren’t accepted, but dedit cards and cash are welcome, bags cost $.10 each so bring your own, and all of the products are lining the store in boxes. It may not look fancy, but the prices are hard to beat!
Here are the ALDI grocery haul steals I quickly picked up for just $12.61:
- Old Fashioned Oats $2.29/42oz
- Chia Seeds $2.99/5.3oz
- Pitted Dates $1.89/8oz
- Strawberries $1.19/lb
- Raspberries $1.39/6oz
- Blueberries $1.89/6oz
If I had had more time, I would have shopped around longer. I’m definitely planning to do a bigger haul in the future!
Along with my ALDI finds, I finished my grocery list with a trip to Jewel where I spent $22.06 and Mariano’s where I spent $22.11, equaling $56.78 for the three stores. I kept the total low because last week I bought 8 Larabars for $8.27 (mostly so I could have a pretty picture for this post), which I took out of this week’s budget. Total Spent: $65.05
This Week’s Grocery Haul Highlights:
