Not all Rewards Programs are created equal. For me, there are two that stand out above the rest: Staples and DSW. The main reason I love both of their programs is because they each regularly mail or email $10 off a $10 purchase coupons. These coupons are the real winners and allow you to get stuff for free! Many other stores will give coupons for $10 off $30, making you actually spend money. And others will give you rewards after you purchase something for the next time you shop. These coupons are fine, but they are no match for the $10 off $10.
Tips on Using $10 off $10 Coupons:
- The minimum purchase amount is before tax. So if your item costs $9.99, you won’t be able to use the coupon.
- If your items don’t quite reach the minimum dollar amount, buy something small like a pack of gum or a single chocolate. The cheapest items are usually found near the cash register.
- Always keep your eye out for clearance items, especially at DSW. This will really make your savings huge.
- Don’t get sucked into spending money you weren’t already planning to spend. Even if I don’t need anything at Staples, but I come across one of these coupons, I’ll make an effort to head to the store and check things out. But I never spend over $10 for something that I don’t need. The whole point of using the coupon is to get stuff for free.
I’d love to hear about your best places to get stuff for free! Do you have a Rewards Program you love or a favorite store that gives out great coupons?
