Do you have your absolute favorite pair of jeans? I’ve always struggled between stretch denim and denim with no give. If it’s too stretchy, I can’t seem to keep my pants pulled up. If there’s no stretch, I can barely sit down in them without fear of not being able to breathe. But finally, I’ve found my perfect jeans! Want to know the best part? They were only $8.
I’ve been on the hunt for some good boyfriend jeans for the last year. I found a pair at Gap last summer that I liked, but they quickly stretched out and no longer had that sexy comfy look; instead they gave me that “poopy butt” look as I like to call it (you know, when your pants sag so badly it looks like you’re keeping something in your backside).
I retired those jeans and had given up on my search. Then this fall I was shopping the Target clearance (as we all do) and found what looked like the exact denim I’d been on the hunt for. I grabbed a handful of different sizes and to my surprise, found a pair that fit me like a glove! I snatched them up in a heartbeat and even bought them in white since all denim, including the sales, were buy one get one 50% off. In the end, each pair was just $8. Score!
These jeans are great with flats for a casual look, heels for something a bit fancier, and the cropped length makes them a wonderful complement to my favorite fall booties. The only thing they aren’t so good for is babysitting. I seem to rip the knees even more every time I try wearing them around kiddos.
I love pairing these jeans with a layered top. The Roxy brand mint denim button up I’m wearing was purchased for $3 at Goodwill and the Express brand leopard print top was $8 at my favorite North Dakota consignment store, True Colors. I love cuffing my sleeves! And that necklace? My mom picked it up for $2 at my hometown City Hall gift shop. You never know where you’re going to find a great deal! That means each piece I’m wearing cost less than $10!
… Except my shoes. Those were $60 at DSW, but still reasonably priced considering the original price tag was $110.
